## Glossary
- **3X (and 2X, 5X, 10X)**: The gather multiplier. On a 3X server one hit on a tree or node gives three times the vanilla amount, so farming takes about a third of the time.
- **Vanilla**: A server running Rust exactly as Facepunch ships it: 1X gather, no kits, no teleports.
- **Modded**: A server that changes rates or adds plugins such as kits, teleports or a leaderboard. Modded servers show under the Modded tab in the Rust server browser.
- **Wipe (map wipe)**: The map is replaced and every base and item is deleted, so everyone starts again on equal terms.
- **Blueprint (BP) wipe**: Learned blueprints are reset as well as the map. Most servers do this once a month.
- **Force wipe**: The wipe Facepunch forces on every Rust server with its monthly update, on the first Thursday of each month.
- **Team limit (max 5, max 6)**: The most players allowed to play as one group. It counts teams, clans and alliances together.
- **Zerg**: A group far bigger than the rest of the server. Team limits exist to stop zergs.
- **Kit**: A set of items a player can claim with a chat command, usually on a cooldown.
- **Ping**: The delay between your PC and the server, in milliseconds. It depends mostly on how far away the server is, which is why an India-hosted server feels better from India than one in Europe.
